On 10 October 2008, a short yet intensive talk was addressed between Han Wenke,Director General of ERI , NDRC and Eugene Huang, Policy Advisor to the US Secretary of Treasury. The talk focused on Sino-US Energy and Environment 10-year Cooperation Framework signed at the 4^th round of Sino-US Strategic Economic Dialogue this year. They exchanged ideas on the opportunity and challenge to develop low-sulfur fuel in China and electricity demand management, exploring into future cooperation in energy and environment issues and related technologies at government and company levels, as well as promoting the establishment of eco-partnership. Besides, they provided positive suggestions on establishing energy and environment sustainability society in the reconstruction of earthquake damaged Sichuan Province.
